This Site's AI Policy

I use Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to design pages and upload content. Instead of using a platform like WordPress or Blogger, I use a combination of Claude, GitHub, and Vercel to manage and maintain the site.

An example of Claude’s help in design is this page on chronology. Claude was used to create the template of the timeline.

Claude also looks over posts before they go live on the site for things like grammatical errors, or places where a sentence went off the rails because I forgot to take a breath.

This kind of editing is limited only to fixes of words. It is not used to supplement what I have written.

I do not use any AI — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini — for any of my writing here. Warts-and-all publishing is what I am interested in. I would rather be confidently incorrect with my own thinking, than embarrassed and correct because it was discovered I was using generative AI to write what I should be able to write on my own.

My personal feelings on AI are: thank God I am in my mid-50s.
